Where can you find Sinistea in Pokemon Violet ? Where to find Sinistea & Polteageist in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet

Where can you find sinistea in pokemon violet ? How to get Sinistea and Sinistea Chips in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet is a bit of a process at first. Sinistea is tucked away in Paldea’s far southwest corner, near Alfornada, where you normally don’t visit until much later in the game. However, if you’re keen on adding Charcadet evolutions to your Paldean Pokédex sooner, rather than later, you’re in luck.

How to get Sinistea in Scarlet and Violet

Sinistea only has two habitats: around Alfornada and in a small part of East Province. Wild Pokémon levels are more manageable in the early game in East Province, but you have a better chance of running into a Sinistea or three around Alfornada.

Whichever route you choose, it’ll take a while to get there. In East Province, you’ll need to visit Levincia via the same route as if you were going to trade for Gengar and exit via the north path. Head into the wasteland toward the western ruins as shown on Sinistea’s habitat map.

Getting to South Province Area Six takes a bit more time. Travel to West Province Area One, south of where you face the Bombirdier Titan, and take the path south until just before Alfornada Cave. Normally, you have to acquire Miraidon’s or Koraidon’s super jump to make it through the cave, but if you jump off the western cliff, you can take the alternate route around.

This path leads you through a different part of Alfornada Cave. Follow the path up, then turn left at the woman who asks about the weather. Make sure to at least run up to the Pokémon Center counter outside Alfornada and its Gym to register it as a flying location.

Sinistea is tiny and very easy to miss as a result. It floats around the field between Alfornada and the coast at night, but you may need to keep the camera close to spot it.

How to get Sinistea Chips

Sinistea Chips are a Pokémon material, and like other materials, you get them by catching or defeating the wild Pokémon bearing their name. That’s Sinistea in this case, naturally.

Sinistea has low defense and is weak to Ghost and Dark types, so defeating them will likely be easier than catching them – especially if you decide to do this earlier in the game. Bring a strong Maschiff or even Gengar along to make short work of them.

The wild Pokémon around Alfornada are roughly level 40, and those in East Province range from 20 to the low 30s. Bear that in mind when deciding on your team.

Best Sinistea locations in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

Sinistea is one of the rarer species you’ll come across during your time in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. It can only be found at two different locations.

According to its Pokédex entry, Sinistea is found near towns and cities living amongst the ruins. This rings true and as you can see on the map these locations are the late-game area in the bottom left corner of Paldea and near Zapapico East earlier in the game.

It is worth noting that, even once you’re able to reach these two locations, finding Sinistea gets much easier as, while they are small compared to other Pokémon, you’ll soon notice more spawning nearby. Stick around in the same area and you’ll have an inventory bursting with Sinistea Chips before you know it.

Where to Find Sinistea in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

Unlike some other Pokemon that can be found all around Paldea in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, players will only find Sinistea spawning in two distinct areas. The first is directly around the town of Zapapico, which is where the NPC that provides you with the Malicious Armor is found.

Sinistea spawn pretty rarely around a half-dead tree found outside of the town, just to the right of the Zapapico East Poke Center. If you spend a lot of time around this area, you’ll probably see a few around. Unfortunately, the spawns here aren’t great, so you may want to look for other possible spawns.

Another great place to look for Sinistea is in the bottom lefthand corner of the map, near one of the last gyms if you follow the optimal path for the Victory Road storyline. While you should catch at least one, you’ll need to defeat several to obtain all the Sinistea Chips needed to obtain the Malicious Armor.

Once you have the Malicious Armor, though, you’ll have no reason to hunt down Sinisteas anymore, and you can go back to enjoying your jaunt through Paldea by hunting down other Pokemon, like Greavard, one of the newest Ghost Dog Pokemon to make an appearance in the franchise. Other new Pokemon also include Finizen, the franchise’s first dolphin Pokemon, which comes with special evolution requirements and one of the coolest forms you’ll see in the game.

Ultimately, finding Sinistea in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is mostly an act of patience. Keep an eye out, and don’t be afraid to clear out other Pokemon groups in the area to increase their chance of spawn. It’s also possible that you could make use of a sandwich that increases Ghost-type Pokemon spawns while hunting in these areas, but it may also lead to more increase spawns of other nearby Ghost-type Pokemon.

How to catch Sinistea in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

Sinistea will appear in specific locations in Paldea. Unfortunately, these regions are hard to reach, and you’re better off waiting until you advance further in the story to track them down. The two sites it has a chance to appear at are close to where you need to swim through water, and that’s an ability you can unlock after you’ve defeated the fourth Titan Pokémon while going through the Path of Legends story.

Sinistea has the chance to appear in two regions. You can check around South Province Area Six, close to where you can find Alfornada, and there’s a chance you can find it on the eastern side of the map, around Zapapcio. If you want to focus on grabbing Sinistea early in your game, we recommend going to the far east and visiting Levincia city.

However, it will only appear after you have your fifth Gym Badge. Once here, you can make your way to the west, into the desert, and you have a good chance of finding it while exploring this area, typically around any ruins.

Sinistea will drop materials called Sinistea Chips. You’ll want to collect them to evolve your Charcadet if you’re playing Pokémon Scarlet.
