Frozen 3 has been confirmed by Disney CEO Bob Iger himself in the Disney Q1 earnings call (via Deadline). Alongside the next Frozen sequel, Iger also revealed that Toy Story and Zootopia would be getting the sequel treatment.
“Today I’m so pleased to announce that we have sequels in the works from our animation studios to some of our most popular franchises, Toy Story, Frozen, and Zootopia. Frozen 3’s Predicted Release Date
There has been no announcement of a Frozen 3 release date yet. Frozen 2 was officially announced in March 2015, approximately 16 months after Frozen premiered.

Frozen 3’s Story
The Frozen 3 story will continue from where Frozen 2 left off, but even that’s speculative this early on. Frozen 2 is somewhat unusual in that it doesn’t have an actual villain, and is instead about a journey to find out the source of Elsa’s powers (and to reveal the secrets of Arendelle’s past). However, it does go to lengths to repeatedly remind the audience of Frozen’s villain, Prince Hans.
Hans is brought up during a game of charades, and mentioned in conversation between Anna and Kristoff. During his summary of the plot of Frozen, Olaf plays the role of Hans, and then we see Hans himself in an icy form when Elsa is exploring Ahtohallan. If Disney wanted to find a way to bring him back as a villain in Frozen 3 this could definitely be done.
With Anna now ruling as Queen of Arendelle and Elsa looking after the Enchanted Forest, a new villain could interrupt the peaceful give-and-take dynamic between the respective lands – and Hans is devious enough that he would find a way to return and make trouble for the sisters. Frozen 3 could bring things full circle by bringing back Hans, or could even do a jump forward in time and follow either Anna or Elsa’s children.
When Will Frozen 3 Release?
There is currently no official release date for Frozen 3, but given that Disney has many unannounced movie timeslots in 2025, it is safe to assume that Frozen 3 will take one of those slots.
Given that the first 2 Frozen films were released in November, it is safe to assume that Frozen 3 will almost certainly take Walt Disney’s Animated Studio’s timeslot in November 2025.
Taking all of this information into account, it is very likely that the Frozen 3 release date is November 26th, 2025.
