How to make a Custom Lego Minifigure ? Make custom lego minifigure by Knofilikchanel

How to make a custom lego minifigure ? Lego is testing a new online Minifigure maker, the Minifigure Factory, that lets you create a Lego person of your very own (via Jay’s Brick Blog, which I promise has no relation to me).

In the tool, you’ll be able to select different heads, headwear, torsos, legs, and accessories for your custom Minifig. For the torso, you can go really deep on customization by applying decals and custom text. (Lego will be moderating the designs to prevent users from making inappropriate Minifigs, according to Jay’s Brick Blog.) There are some fun accessories you can pick from, too, like a laptop, a pretzel, and a pizza. Completed Minifigs will cost $11.99, though you can only buy one per household.

If you’ve used Lego’s online Build A Minifigure tool that’s available in select countries, the Minifigure Factory looks to be pretty similar. Build A Minifigure, however, doesn’t offer the same level of torso customization that you can get with Minifigure Factory.

You should know that you might not be able to use the Minifigure Factory quite yet; Lego says the site has “limited availability.” (I personally had access for a bit while writing this post, but now I don’t.) The company is also calling Minifigure Factory a beta right now, and in a notice, says that “some parts and features may not be available” and that “you may also find that the page is unavailable from time to time.”

As a kid, I had cobbled together a version of “me” using parts from different sets, but it never looked exactly right (though I did have two lightsabers and a hoverboard, which is definitely just like the real me). With Minifigure Factory, I can make a more accurate Lego version of myself — and deck it out with robot decals. And if you’re looking to make a full-on action figure of yourself, Hasbro recently announced a way to let you do just that.

What is LEGO Minifigure Factory?

The LEGO Minifigure Factory lets you personalize and order your own LEGO minifigure. The service lets you choose from a variety of minifigure heads, headwear, torsos, legs, and accessories. You can also customize the torso of your figure with different designs, and patterns, and even add some text to it.

How to build LEGO custom minifigures?

To create your own minifigure online, visit the LEGO Minifigure Factory page on the LEGO website, which you can find here. Once you’re there, click the “Customize Your Minifigure” button to start the process.

First, you will be asked to select a face for your minifigure. After that, you will be able to pick a hairstyle or a hat for your little mini-me. After which, you can begin customizing your minifigure’s torso. There’s a wide selection of outfits you can choose from, which you can further personalize by adding text and various images that can be resized and posited anywhere on the torso however you like.

LEGO wants its minifigure factory to be as fun as possible for everyone so it doesn’t allow the use of profanities, vulgar references, hate speech, or extremism. Third-party logos, names of organizations, and trademarks are also prohibited on its customized minifigures. English, French, German, Italian, Polish, Spanish, and Ukrainian are the only languages supported by the LEGO Minifigure Factory as of now.

To finalize your custom LEGO minifigure, hit the “Complete My Minifigure” button, check out, and wait for your minifigure to arrive at your doorstep.

How much does it cost to make your own minifig?

Each customized minifigure costs $11.99. During the initial run of the Lego Minifigure Factory, customers were only allowed to order one per household.

LEGO Minifigure Factory orders will be sent with the same costs and delivery time as normal LEGO.com orders. If you ordered a LEGO set alongside your minifigure, you should receive both together.

Why aren’t there more minifigure pieces to choose from?

The online version of the LEGO Minifigure Factory is currently in the beta stage, so features and options are limited at the moment. More face prints, hairstyles, torso options, leg types, and accessories are expected to arrive on the service in time for its official launch, which has yet to be announced.

Is the LEGO Minifigure Factory still accessible online?

As of August 2023, the Lego Minifigure Factory website is temporarily closed. In October 2022, the shop’s online page said that LEGO was working on improving the service and that it would return at some point in the future.

The service, however, is still available in-store at select LEGO locations. Visit the LEGO Booking website to reserve a visit to a store near you.

Frist, I had to create the decals for both figures, since the original minifigures had stickers. I used Adobe Illustrator to create the graphics and Bricklink’s PartDesigner to create the custom LEGO parts.

For the decal design, I used some of the available shape templates. PartDesigner’s manual has the specific dimensions: 605×512 pixels. So let’s start with creating a new Illustrator document with these dimensions.
