How many Lego Minifigures are there in the LEGO Death Star sets?

How many lego minifigures are there ? I decided to create a LEGO Collectible Minifigures Series Guide on my Blog with the leaflets of all the series. My intention is to have a single place where you can easily scroll and see if your minifigure belongs or not to one of these series and maybe you can check if you are missing some of them.

I really like minifigures and I am totally in love with these series, so, I decided to create this Minifigure Series guide. I will keep it updated with some technical details like the release date, set number, the minifigures name list and of course my reviews.

This Minifigure Series guide is intended to help you to easily check the minifigures. So, you can dig further into Bricklink, Rebrickable, or any other support websites.

The post is very simple and minimal. So, at the beginning you will find the long list of all the series with the hyperlink to jump directly to the section of the specific series. I organised the list in a temporal way, based on the release date.

Under the leaflet of the Series you will find also the list of Minifigures names. For some minifigures I will include a link to pages of my Blog where you can find my review as well as in bolt the minifigures in my collection.

How many minifigures are in the LEGO Death Star sets?

Death Star, mobile space station and galactic superweapon from Star Wars saga, has appeared two times as a LEGO set. The first time was in 2008, in the set 10188 and eight years later in the set 75159. Many people think that set from 2016 is just rerelease of the set from 2008, but that isn’t true. One of the biggest differences is the minifigures selection. The first LEGO Death Star comes with 24 minifigures, while the second one comes with 27. In this guide, I will show you all the figures from both sets. Pictures from the left side will be from set 10188 (2008) and the right side from the set 75159 (2016).

Which LEGO set has the most characters?

As LEGO sets continue to get bigger piece counts, so the minifigure casts are expanding. Blocks is taking a look at which sets have the most LEGO characters…

While there are certain LEGO sets, and even whole themes, that don’t come with minifigures, it is always fun populating a model with its accompanying characters. Posing the minifigures just so and creating a story throughout the different levels or accompanying mini-builds is a special part of finishing a set. With the recently released LEGO 10316 The Lord of the Rings: Rivendell coming with a whopping 15 minifigures, it’s setting a precedent for the theme, providing plenty of elves, humans, and dwarves alike.

But although it sounds like a lot, 10316 The Lord of the Rings: Rivendell isn’t actually breaking any records within the LEGO portfolio. Fifteen is a lot, yet it is nowhere near the most ever included. So, which LEGO sets have the most minifigures and what one has the most of all?

5. 75222 Betrayal at Cloud City – 21 minifigures

While 75222 Betrayal at Cloud City might have the least minifigures on this list, it is filled with exclusives. One of the most desirable for fans and collectors alike is the unique version of Lando Calrissian, featuring a snazzy printed cape element that includes the embroidery on the lining. It also comes with only the second ever version of Princess Leia in her Bespin outfit, a massive improvement over her previous iteration in 10123 Cloud City, alongside a slightly less scruffy looking Han Solo (who probably cleaned up to compete with Lando).

4. 21337 Table Football – 22 minifigures

It’s no surprise that 21337 Table Football has so many minifigures considering it needs two teams to play the game. This set is the first time that minifigures with realistic skin tones have been included in a non-licensed LEGO set, so it really is a trend setter that’s helping more fans see themselves in minifigures. It has some of the best representation and diversity of recent models, catching up with the strides being made in the Friends theme.

3. 10305 Lion Knights’ Castle – 22 minifigures

It takes a literal army to staff a castle, as 10305 Lion Knights’ Castle proves with its range of knights and warriors all being led by the Lady of the Brave Lion. An update on the original Lion Knights from the Castle theme back in the 1990s, they feature much more detailed chainmail printing and more historically accurate armour. One thing that’s basically stayed the same though is their lion emblem, which has only been made a little neater. Majisto looks almost exactly the same too, so he must have brewed an eternal youth potion!

2. 76178 Daily Bugle – 25 minifigures

Let’s be honest. While 76178 Daily Bugle is an impressive skyscraper, almost every LEGO Marvel fan has bought this set for the minifigures. It may have just missed out on the top spot, but 76178 has an incredible 19 exclusives, which is likely the most of any LEGO set currently. It pulls from across multiple Spider-Man multiverse, including the original Tobey Maguire films, right up to the modern day with Mysterio from Spider-Man: Far From Home. There’s also loads of comic references, including the debuts of both The Punisher and Daredevil as minifigures.

1. 75159 Death Star – 27 minifigures

Obliterating planets and taking the top of this list is one of the most popular LEGO Star Wars sets of all time. So popular in fact that 75159 Death Star is a reissue of 2008’s 10188 Death Star, just with a few changes to the minifigure cast. Some of the more obscure droids were replaced with Imperial naval officers to help run the station, along with a much more screen-accurate version of Grand Moff Tarkin. Technically, 75159 is slightly cheating because although the box shows 27 characters, that includes a mouse droid and the super creepy interrogation droid – neither of which are traditional minifigures.
